Founded in Los Angeles, California, by British self-taught perfumer Richard Saint-Ford, Iggywoo takes its name from a childhood word he shared with his bohemian grandmother, meaning “imagination.” Richard created Iggywoo from the belief that perfumery, like music or film, has its own rhythm and atmosphere for which you can build entire worlds to escape into—what he calls scent escapism. Untrained in traditional perfumery, he creates instinctively and without inherited rules, translating imagined worlds into distinctive fragrances. Each fragrance is conceived as an emotionally driven, genderless scent story, designed to evoke memory and mood rather than focus solely on traditional fragrance structure.
