Absolue 1001 Roses

1001 Roses was rose and more rose on the test strip, but on skin, I'm getting a tart and sweet orange juice in the opening along with the bouquet of roses. It is very slightly spicy - maybe the slightest hint of cumin? - but it doesn't read like body odor.

This is a very sweet perfume... Overly so, for my nose. The rose is fresh but is overshadowed by the syrupy, sugary orange juice. It is also quite synthetic smelling in the opening and mid and is honestly giving me a headache.

The dry down arrives pretty quickly, and luckily the sweet orange juice is gone. And this is where I'm getting the rose and more roses that I smelled on the test strip. It's pretty much just a pleasant rose, and not much else. I'm glad it's much softer at this point.

Projection is *very* strong and lasts for about 2-3 hours. Longevity on skin is very good and about 12+ hours for me.

Not such a fan of this one as I find it quite overpowering and don't care for the scent. Even during the dry down, it's just rose, so not terribly interesting. I give this one a 3.5/10.
