Scent Review: SOTE 12:21

Fragrance house SOTE is a Christian niche brand based in Miami. SOTE stands for Salt of the Earth. I purchased their Discovery Set which is a collection of their 4 fragrances in 10ml frosted spray bottles.

The second one from the collection that I am reviewing is 12:21. Per the website...Inspired by Romans 12:21 — “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”A reminder that true power is found in choosing good, again and again. . The full size bottles are also inscribed with the corresponding scripture passage! LOVE!!

For me this is pretty much just a caramel and brown sugar scent. Admittedly, my nose isn’t picking up the other notes so this scent is pretty linear for me. Again, this isn’t a new scent profile by any means so if you enjoy this scent profile then you would most likely enjoy this one as well. Could you use it for layering? Maybe, but for me this is barely a skin scent. Like my nose is on my skin to smell it and virtually no longevity. I used 2 sprays. This is one that I think you could safely overspray without issue. I am not a gourmand fan but this isn’t a loud or screechy scent. With that said this is a way to enjoy this scent profile with a much softer take.
