Green and clean

The perfume is everything the name promises it to be. It's has a strong, freshly-washed, clean element, is indeed timeless and a bit all over the place as French literature tends to be, Proust specifically. It delivers what is promised all the way, but nothing more.

The scent has a lot going on, and due to that, you're barely able to catch some notes, and some others are absent entirely despite being announced (Praline? Where?). With all the commotion of notes, it wondrously remains linear, delivering the same exact effect of a strong clean greenish scent. It's not unpleasant, has a soapy quality to it, and can be perceived wildly differently by some people. I've got comments about it smelling like "shower gel for men" or "freshly boiled egg," which is not at all my impression.

The longevity is surprisingly decent for a clean scent, and it's a skin scent as well, which makes perfect sense for this perfume. In general, it's not the most inspiring scent I've ever smelled and seems to overpromise and underdeliver. It's not bad and maybe even good as far as clean freshies go, but all the excitement was sadly lost on me.
