Orphéon EDP’s eccentric - and possibly problematic - NYC cousin

This fragrance was inspired by the boho jazz & poetry clubs of Greenwich Village in the mid-twentieth century, and is in Thin Wild Mercury’s New York collection. It starts with a spicy juniper and peppercorn opening, hits you with a BOLD “warm leather objects” middle mellowed slightly by rose, before settling into a long-lasting tobacco smoke base (and I can catch faint traces of powdery iris in the base too, which I of course love!). It is a strong frag and probably not a crowd-pleaser, but I think it’s fun for the occasional evening wear, and it takes me back to some of my late nights living in NYC for grad school ;)
