Absolue Le Parfum

I had high hopes for this one based on the paper test and the fact that it was the one Lancome chose to name "Le Parfum" out of the line. Luckily, it seems to meet my expectations.

Le Parfum is a pretty, feminine rose and white tea scent with lots of musk and a little jasmine. This is definitely a perfume where you get everything listed in the notes from first spray to dry down. It's not very sweet, and is a lot more musky and savory than I was expecting. It's a bit... Safe and boring in the opening.

Fortunately, the dry down is a *much* nicer version with the musks warming up and the notes melding properly, making the scent significantly more balanced, with slightly sweet and creamy nuances. Mixed with the white tea and soapy rose, this is quite lovely. I had wished for more tea on the paper test, and fortunately I do get that here.

Projection is moderate for about 4-5 hours, and the scent lasts over 15 hours on skin. Though faint, it did last through bedtime and into the morning.

This is an elegant, clean, musky, slightly soapy rose scent that would be perfect for office wear or anytime you need something safe to wear around others. It would be a great signature scent as well. I don't find it particularly creative or compelling, but the dry down is very pretty, and the performance is excellent. I give it a 7.5/10.
