Luxurious mainstream oud

Reading reviews of this elsewhere you would think this was the final boss of barnyard oud but on first spray I’m a little perplexed - there is some funky oud in there that makes this more complex than the original Alexandria II but it’s pretty tame compared to pretty much any other oud in Xerjoff’s catalogue. To me this smells like a very upscale version of something like D&G The One - a pretty safe and mainstream combo aromatics and woods with a musky Xerjoff base and a little curveball with some subtle animalic oud. Don’t take my word for it because some people think this is effectively indistinguishable from an elephant cage at cleaning time, but I think this is a good entry point for someone wanting to dip their toes into the world of animalic oud.
