Surprising Floral Delight

I normally don't go for floral heavy fragrances. If there's other notes, sure, but if a fragrance has too many floral notes I'll often look past it. That's how it was with this fragrance. I purchased the Season of the Witch discovery set at least three months ago and this is the only fragrance I've put off sampling out of the bunch.

Well today I finally tried it and I'm honestly shocked. When I think of heavy floral scents, it's very old lady; it's cloying, overpowering, not good and very much not my taste. This is the exact opposite of what I expected. Is it an almost exclusively floral fragrance? Yes, but somehow it's so damn light and weightless on the skin. I wasn't beaten over the head by elderly florals that could hide the smell of a dead body, instead I was transported into a fresh flower garden.

That's the best way to describe it, honestly, it's that same light, refreshing, lovely scent that you use from smelling a fresh flower still in the ground. It doesn't harass you or assault you, it simply exists, floating around you like a lovely little "lighter than air" cloud of floral goodness.

I may not buy a full bottle just because I'm still not a "delicate florals" kind of person, but this challenged my preconceived notions in a big way and I'm not at all mad about it.
