First Wear Review

This perfume's opening comes across bright and airy, although fleeting. Neroli, pink pepper, and elemi fly between leafy bergamont creating a fizzy effervescence. Vanilla and Bulgarian rose make themselves known shortly after. This rose is floral, not sweet in itself, but reminiscent of rosewater tinted by a surprisingly light saffron. The heart lingers for thirty minutes to an hour until giving way to a more sensual floral theme. Dry musky rose that sits rather intimately on my skin as of now, a couple hours later. The deep drydown does reveal a note that had hidden behind the others: a faint wormwood-like astringency no doubt from the oud that balances the vanilla quite well. This could easily be a date night, nighttime, or any time fragrance where you needed a little bit of content confidence.
