This one had surprised me in store, I’m not usually a rose person but this smelled intriguing I thought I’d give it a whirl. Immediately it was nuanced rose scent that seemed a touch smoky and masculine, high hopes. Then I stepped outside. The humidity and my skin chemistry caused a reaction that has left me smelling what can only be described as a grandfather’s halitosis. Now I’m back in the cool office and it’s rose-amber again, but the faint tonsil stone note lingers.

    Heat and humidity can do a number! I have to be so careful living in the swamp that is SW Florida. Will you give it another chance or has that experience turned you off from it?

      If I still have it, I will give it a chance in January when we might get some cold. But if one of my coworkers expresses interest I can’t get it to them fast enough.

      I hear you! I generally don’t keep them when something sends me the wrong way ( it is like getting the ick). But I did give one — Fleur de lalita—a second chance and love it (as long as it is an inside day otherwise it becomes SO indolic like I am being buried along with the decaying flowers).
