Well, I've had no new samples recently (the past week 🙃), so I'm going for an old bedtime favourite. Powdery violets, jammy roses and sweet vanilla develop over a warm, woody base. It's not Oud Satin Mood, but it's very close.

I haven’t tried this one, but I certainly enjoy the OG! Turkish delight is a very good way of describing it. The texture is exactly the same! Enjoy the scent bubble 🫧

Oud Satin is gorgeous, but it's solely a bedtime scent for me - after using up a 5ml decant and comparing them side-by-side so many times, it seemed crazy to spend 10x as much on the OG. I'm super cynical with dupes, but this Barakkat is lovely stuff.

That’s good to know! I do love the scent, but I wouldn’t get a FB of the OG either, as I’d wear it only every now and then. I have a small decant that’s been lasting me ages! I tried finding this dupe in particular, when you last posted about it; but it seems sold old on most sites I can purchase from here. I’d be keen to get it when available!

I love Oud Satin Mood but I’ve never owned it. Thinking of grabbing a cheap travel spray of Jo Malones take on that DNA eventually though. I can def see this being a bedtime favorite

You thinking Velvet Rose & Oud? I love that one. We bought it for mum last Christmas. Very much in the same ballpark as Oud Satin/Bakkarat, but more 'Jo Maloney' haha - still substantial, but even lighter than my dupe, let alone the beast that is OSM.

That’s exactly the one haha. The travel spray is only like $30ish for a 10 ml which really isn’t bad. Especially since it’s not a DNA I would wear often, even though I love it.

My thoughts exactly with this kind of profile. I'd never want to smell like a sweet, jammy rose in the wild, but quite like it at home when I'm not testing something new.

So went for my go-to sleep scent, and the only dupe in my collection. Sweet, jammy roses, powdery violets and a warm, woody base. It smells like a non-edible Turkish delight and feels so relaxing
