How to describe the Pharaoh’s favor?

The opening is very spicy cardamom with a good bit of amber sweetness behind it. It’s strong up front but not bitter or cloyingly at all like some spice bombs can be.

The incense quickly arrives to fully balance the initial sweetness and makes everything more airy and smooth.

What it dries down to is almost like a spicier version of Spiritueuse Double Vanille. It has a similar waxiness that is like a high end vanilla but without the medicinal quality I get from SDV. It has a dustiness to it that I attribute to the cypriol and also find in Frederic Malle’s Promise.

In a way, it’s like a more restrained Outlands that doesn’t flirt so heavily with being gourmand. To me Outlands is obnoxiously loud and smells like spiced cake with cream cheese frosting. This has similar themes but is dialed down enough to not become overly sweet and loud.
