Baking Accident

Leathery vanilla is a common perfume trope that was done many times. This particular one claims that it has multiple types of vanilla but manages to not be sweet at all. Well, I can't help but associate vanilla with pastry, especially in such great quantities. It is true, though, that vanilla here still feels multifaceted - creamy, bitter, sour, and warm.

But the kicker for me was leather, which is unfortunately done with the ingredient that smells off to me - quinoline. So it skews the scent greatly into something burning and chemical. The best description is "baker accidentally dropped his latex glove into a cake mix and put that in the oven."

The vanilla part is fantastic, and the cake mix part smells heavenly, but the part that was supposed to be leather, sadly, is an utter letdown.
