RIP Seance

I have the Rose on one wrist, and on the other, Seance from the same house. Seance was discontinued 11 years ago, and with no official brand source left I won’t try to add it to the database. I only have about a 1/2 ml left anyway.

I’m pretty sure Seance was the first perfume I tried where I realized I actually enjoy rose notes when they are realistic, so I’m feeling a bit sentimental about it.

The scent profile to me is very similar - realistic soft dewy delicate rose, green leaning. Seance just has a subtle woody warmth underneath as well (rosewood and hazel), and the Rose’s rose is a bit punchier, more sweet and tart. I prefer Seance, but they are clearly variations on the same rose accord.

Pouring one out for all the long discontinued perfumes out there. 🥀
