Don’t sleep on this one if you like coconut

I know there was some controversy over Boy Smells reformulating their line, but as someone who wasn’t familiar with the original Woodphoria, I think this is gorgeous. There’s a sweet but fresh coconut in the opening that reminds me of Alto Astral by Byredo, but where Alto Astral’s coconut is balanced by incense, Woodphoria (as one might guess) has an everrrr-so-slightly smoky woody base that tempers the coconut sweetness (I’m very sensitive to smoke, so it’s definitely subtle!). The performance is excellent, and though I’m loath to describe anything as a compliment-getter, this one does tend to be a crowd-pleaser. For the relatively reasonable price, I think it’s a must-try.
