I'm not the only one that does this, right?

When you travel to some place new, you find somewhere that sells local scents & take something home?

I stumbled (nearly literally after several days of very long walks) across this cute little store in the Lake District & initially I did think it was a bit twee & that I wouldn't find something I liked, but I was wrong. After trying a few other scents I came to this.

It has the majority of notes I look for in a fragrance on paper - patchouli, birch tar, leather, oakmoss, Oudh, amber - but what was it like on me? All of those notes could suggest a loud, obnoxious scent, but it's a bit like the shop, clean & polite. I pick up the smokey birch tar, but it's subtle, same for the leather & patchouli. It stays close but lasts quite well. Not all day, but it's there past lunch time, still catching a slight whiff.
