❤️My Go-To for Photorealistic Kitten "Musk" Smell❤️

Don't let the notes fool you into thinking this will be overwhelmingly gourmand—I assumed this would smell adjacent to Terry's Chocolate Oranges (those Christmas chocolates shaped like oranges) with nutmeg sprinkled on them, but that was not at all the case.

Whatever molecules are responsible for the bread note seem to wrap the orange molecules with a smoothness and slight yeastiness that give depth to the soft sweetness the orange molecules impart. I don't get bright citrus from this use of orange; the orange in Bread + Roses is used measuredly to accentuate the bread and rose notes, bridging them into an ever-so-slightly yeasty rosewater.

The cacao and labdanum I can barely distinguish from other notes are so well blended imo, and must be part of the molecular magic giving the scent its magnetically warm & bitter pull. For me, this fragrance is a shining example of how blending creates perfumes that are monumentally greater than the sum of their parts. It's not an amber scent though; the orange, bread and rose prevent it from veering too far in that direction.

I know it won't be everyone's thing and won't read this way to every nose, but I SWEAR on EVERYTHING I LOVE that this is the closest a perfume has come to replicating the scent responsible for me burying my nose in kittens❤️a full bottle is certainly in my future. And I love that this perfume's name is a women's suffrage reference; timely, given all the rollbacks to US civil rights in recent (and extended) history.
