Just got a larger decant of this to try out some more before deciding if I want to track down a full bottle.

The smell on this one is really nice. Slightly sweet florals smoothed over with vanilla and a touch of spice from saffron and pink pepper. The saffron is a tad leathery for the first couple of minutes, but that quickly subsides. I don't feel like any particular note outcompetes another and it all combines into a very luxurious smell.

However, this fragrance behaves very differently for me compared to most others. I feel like this is mostly a sillage fragrance. Like it smells very muted to me on skin, but it is stronger in the air. It's like the aromas need to diffuse to do their thing. Does anyone else experience this with this or other fragrances?

    It's pretty strong. I only spray it on the back of my neck and could catch whiffs. Someone once told me it smelled like cotton candy lol

      Interesting. It is semi sweet, but I don’t get cotton candy from it. Now Scarlet Sands to me smells like sickly sweet raspberry cotton candy. I thought it was horrible. I’m kinda shocked how much that one is hyped for how insanely, sickly sweet it is.

      Yea unsure how he perceived it as cotton candy smell but he did say it smelled good haha. Oh? I was planning on getting a sample of scarlet sands too since I've been hearing good things. Honestly as far as colder season you're ultimately set with this, blue outcast extrait, atlas fever, and gold immortals extrait. Too many good colder scents from this house

      To me Scarlet Sands is one of the worst fragrances I’ve tried. So intensely sweet and synthetic smelling. I can’t imagine wearing it as a man, but I also can’t really imagine wanting to smell it on someone more feminine, but to each its own.

    Yea it's less sweet from what I recall. Pretty solid fragrance. Night Drive... I bought due to fomo but I think i still prefer the OG because I like the scent profile way better. Night drive seems more spicy but drydown is almost similar? So im kinda on the fence with it haha

      I like the spicy/herbal combo of the ginger, pink pepper, and sage with the bit of sweetness from the black currant and tonka. I know this might be weird, but Night Drive reminds me of the smell of the desert in Tucson. I always thought the air there had this semi sweet, dusty sage smell to it.

      I could see why you'd like it then esp if reminds you of a place. Maybe it'll grow on me. Current favorites at the moment are both hedonist edp/extrait

      Hedonist Extrait makes me sad because it smells great, but I no joke go nose blind to it in like 5 seconds. It’s like “mmm lychee, and it’s gone.”
