Brown Girl Jane Casablanca

After all the sugary scents in the discovery set, Casablanca came as a bit of a surprise.

This is a quiet, musk-heavy, soapy, slightly sweet skin scent. It smells like if Glossier You and L'Eau Papier had a baby. It's got the same sharp, sweet musks from Glossier You but also the fragrant, starchy sweetness of steamed rice from L'Eau Papier. There are also cozy, clean and fresh laundry soap vibes and a little bit of a play dough scent. The musks here are quite skin-like, bordering on clean but slightly sweaty skin (though not in a bad way). I find Glossier You to be quite sharp and synthetic, while L'Eau Papier is much softer and airier. This falls squarely in between.

Projection on this one is gentle, but pretty good for a skin scent. Longevity is average - I would say 5-6 hours, but that is pretty normal for this category of scent on me.

I think if you're a fan of skin scents, this would be a nice one to try. It is pleasant and an easy reach, but I don't find it particularly compelling, so I rate it a 6/10. I would wear it, but would not buy a bigger bottle of it as I find it redundant to skin scents I already own.
