How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…..

This opens with a burst of green, sweet florals. I can immediately smell the tuberose and orange blossom, but not just their blossoms. Their leaves and stalks are there too. I don’t find it campherous at all, maybe a little hint in the dry down at times, just that the eucalyptus keeps the perfume bright and fresh, in the way ambroxan makes my eyes pop.

The tuberose has been tamed; not in a cage, but amongst a bed of other flowers that are basking harmoniously in the sunshine. As it settles into the heart it becomes more solar with the ylang ylang, melon and coconut. And then the dry down!! A changling perfume, these are my favourite as they keep my nose and brain active all day long. Sometimes the orange blossom and bergamot comes through with the melon giving it that fresh, clean shampoo vibe. Sometimes it’s a bright, beautiful neroli floral. Sometimes the tuberose, ylang ylang and amber dance together with the jasmine giving the smooth creaminess of a magnolia. Sometimes the white musk and galbanum catches your nose giving a profile of a dewy early summer garden, the soil still wet from a sunny light rain shower. Sometimes there’s a surprise woody coconut.
