Parade

Parade is a beautiful scent that opens up with a blast of fresh citrus and delicate neroli. The sharp tartness of the citrus disappears within a few minutes, but the zesty sweetness that remains is a perfect compliment to the neroli, which is absolutely gorgeous and so natural. It has a little bit of the powdery Celine DNA if you're looking for it, but is not nearly as powdery as Saint Germain Des Pres, for example. There is also a very mild green note. The total sum is almost jasmine tea-like in its slightly green, aromatic, floral sweetness, so if you are a tea lover, this would be a lovely scent to try. Interestingly, even though there is no tea listed in the notes, it somehow gives me the same effect as a tea perfume.

The early dry down is a smooth, lightly sweet neroli, a hay-like vetiver, slight soapiness and a hint of musk. I don't find this strongly mossy, but it does add a bit of greenness to the scent. By hour 5, the scent has changed again. In the late drydown, I still smell the neroli, but the scent is mostly the warm, dry, and slightly citrusy vetiver, soapy musks, and a relatively clean, barely damp moss.

This is a well balanced scent - not too tart, not too sweet, not too powdery. A very elegant, grown-up perfume, but still an easy scent to wear. I think this would work best as a unique freshie and would be a wonderful choice for the office as well as work functions - anywhere you want to smell professional and very, very classy.

Projection is moderate to good on this one, with it projecting strongly for around 3 hours. It lasts on my skin for quite awhile - over 10 hours!
