An Orange in an Oil Spill

This treads the line between a non-descript, pleasant-smelling perfume and something with a little more character.

The first image I have in mind is of an orange bobbing up and down in the ocean. There’s a fresh, aquatic salinity, countered by sweet, orange juiciness. It’s not wholly natural-smelling, though - there’s a synthetic streak running through it, as if the citrus is floating through an oil spill. What remains when the orange fades is a rather generic base of soapy shaving foam and ambery woods.

I end up using perfumes like this for nipping to the shops, or just to spray something on even if I’ll be showering two hours later. It makes me feel clean and approachable, but doesn’t prompt much storytelling inspiration, which, if you’ve seen my usual reviews, is one of the things I love most about perfume.
