Coco Mademoiselle EDP

Coco Mademoiselle opens with a gentle assortment of citrus fruits - not overly sharp or tart, but contributing a lovely brightness to the scent. In particular I enjoy the mandarin orange, sweet-tart and juicy. The florals are well blended, so it is hard to pick out a specific one, but to me the mimosa adds a touch of soft powder to Chanel's clean jasmine combined with a velvety, feminine pink rose. The patchouli is ever present from start to finish, and I enjoy it very much. It adds a warmth and depth to the scent that is very iconic to Coco Mademoiselle. In the mid and especially the dry down, the tonka bean emerges and is reminiscent of a rich vanilla and almond. Combined with the florals, patchouli and musk, it makes for a truly addictive scent.

The perfume projects moderately for around 3-4 hours and lasts very well on skin for over 10 hours in the heat, leaving a beautiful, but not excessive scent trail.

One of my favorite perfumes that I will always have in my collection. This to me embodies the optimism of youth - someone full of charm and zest for life, ready to chase their dreams. I think it's a lovely scent for just about any occasion and season. This is the perfect signature scent in my opinion (it was mine for a long time). So pretty, fresh, and classic but not at all dated or overly mature. It is a shining example of elegant restraint - everything in perfect proportion and not a drop more. 10/10 rating for this iconic masterpiece.
