Despite trying several scents this morning, I had to try this on its arrival. This is gorgeous, the chinotto really does have a unique smell. It's certainly bitter orange adjacent, but both more floral and with an almost burnt rind quality. This is so well balanced by the vanilla and caramel. The orange blossom is just subtle enough to enhance the chinotto, but not dominate. Gourmand is in the name, but this is not a dense or cloying gourmand; the caramel is not sticky. If you've ever made a marmalade cake, this has a bit of that airy sweet cake and bitter citrus. The longevity is better than most citrus and it does not at all veer into furniture polish territory. I'd argue that this is a unisex gourmand given the complex and bitter nature of the chinotto and the not overly sweet caramel.
