Chipmunk Was a Love at First Sniff

It opens with a beautiful blend of sweet, herbaceous woods and spice-dusted fruit. The herbs don't feel culinary - just a soft hint of greenary that anchors the scent within a quaint woodland setting.

Oak, cedar, patchouli, and fir soon follow, merging into a seamless whole rather than standing apart. The result is rich, warm, and gently toasted, reminiscent of the inside of a well-worn whiskey barrel.

There's a subtle animalic undertone, too - not dirty, but suggestive of a small, damp-furred creature moving through the undergrowth. The sweetness feels naturally woven in, as if sticky resins have become caught in the chipmunk's fur on its latest forage for fallen nuts.

As it dries down and our little friend retreats into its cosy burrow, the scent becomes muskier and more intimate. The earthy walls are still damp from last night's rainfall, empty nut shells lie scattered across the substrate, and a trace of sweet smoke drifts in from the wood-burning of nearby foresters.
