Scent Review: Chloé Le Parfum

When I first sprayed this I got a slight berry note but I know that there is no berry in this. So I attribute that to the combination of orange blossom and rose. As the berry scent disappears it gives way for a warm floral. I don’t necessarily pick up a standalone vanilla or tonka but I know that they add to the warmness I detect. I find this to be a very well blended fragrance. The notes work beautifully together so they all complement each other without one fighting for any attention over the others.

While this is reminiscent of the Chloé DNA this isn’t light and airy like the original but lends itself to being a warm floral. For me, I wouldn’t wear this in the heat of summer as it can be a bit heavy. This is definitely an ambery rose. A grown up rose if you will.

Even for lovers of Chloé I would not say that this is a safe blind buy, I would definitely it first.

There is no greeness or powderiness that comes with typical rose scents. Rather there is a sensual deepness to this that makes it more serious. Where the original Chloé is a bright rose this one has more depth. This is Chloé’s older sister.
