Learning to love a vintage classic

Today I'm wearing an old classic for the second day in a row: Clinique Aromatics Elixir from 1971. I have serious business to do today, so I wanted a scent that makes me feel older and more competent than I am. While this is unpleasant to smell on a test strip, it blooms beautifully on the skin and in the drydown. I'm enjoying it way more than I expected to. The drydown is heavenly and gives me hope I may be learning to appreciate chypres better!
