While leather is listed, I don't really pick that up. This is predominantly a quite sweet tropical fruit scent with a little sweet tobacco in the background. I think a little more leather or tobacco would keep this from being too sweet. I really enjoy it, but it's just a little sweeter than I prefer. Would probably layer very well with any tobacco fragrance
