Danger Parfum Cologne by Roja Dove is an exquisite Oriental fougere that was created in 2019. It's opens with lavender, lemon, bergamot, and tarragon. This unique lavender-herbal opening reminds me of other gentlemen's fragrances such as Creed Bois du Portugal or Clive Christian 1872, though they are not exactly the same.In the heart of Danger Parfum Cologne, you get some florals such as violet, jasmine, and lily-of-the-valley that smell freshly picked. There is an attractive balance of aromatics and florals in the opening and heart of the fragrance that smell natural and fresh. The drydown is what makes Danger Parfum Cologne stand out from other typical masculine fougeres. There are notes of cumin, oakmoss, vanilla, tonka bean, patchouli, musk, ambergris, leather, cedar, clove, vetiver, rhubarb and galbanum. The cumin, cloves, and tonka bean add a warm, hay-like, spiciness that interacts exceptionally well with the green, earthy notes such as oakmoss, patchouli, and vetiver. The musk, ambergris, and leather add a slightly animalic dimension, but it isn't overpowering - it's present to add a bit of depth. Finally, the rhubarb adds a nice texture in the background of the drydown that is slightly tart. In terms of performance, Danger Parfum Cologne projects moderately and is never too loud. It's refined and sophisticated, and it wears well in settings such as the office or a social gathering. Longevity is decent at about 6 or 7 hours on skin, however, it stays well on fabrics. Danger Parfum Cologne is perfect mature scent for a gentleman aged 35+. I highly recommend it for those who enjoy more classic, traditional masculine fragrances.
