Everything about the notes listed should mean I would like this. I do not like this. To my nose, this opens with a very strong vegetative note of celery sweating in a stainless steel pan and a very dirty mustiness. It evokes the same terrible response as Corail Oscuro. My nose has forsaken me again. However, unlike the Diptyque which prompted a vomiting session and resulted in being scrubbed, this at least started to dry down into something wearable.

It has taken two hours to finally land as the cold but soft petals, pearly smoothness and powdery silk that I was expecting. It’s very very nice here, its like a beautiful cold cream skin scent of a bygone era… but 2 hours to get there is too much work for me and every now and then I still get that vegetable note. Jealous of those that experience this as described in reviews. Hatred for my olfactory system that is likely misinterpreting a new synthetic. It’s a nope for me, and I won’t be putting this on my skin again.

    I hate when the notes betray like this! I also hate when the drydown is what you wanted vs the entire journey of the scent. I have started to stop keeping anything I'm not in love with the whole way through, I shouldn't have to struggle through a scent that I don't wholly love. I haven't tried anything outside of Sakura Snow (which I do love) from D'Annam, curious on what you think of the others!

    Oh no, hope I don’t get to experience that. The rice flour might be challenging for me as well, or at least my brain isn’t comprehending how that could smell

      I love Diptyque’s L'Eau Papier so I was expecting something similar to that.. and it is a bit in the same vein as that in the dry down, but that prolonged unnecessary opening and heart was just a NOPE

    I love Corail Oscuro (on me it’s very 🍅 forward even tho it’s not listed) and love me a weird scent so I’m intrigued but someone described it as hamburger scent which is off putting. What now!

      I loved Corail Oscuro on paper, but it smelt like green peppers on my skin, and I’m allergic to it so my body noped it whether I liked it or not and induced vomiting. It was a rough sample session that day 🤣🤣

    Lipstick notes are way better when balanced with tissue but I see powder on there so it should be fine? So interesting

      I’m a big fan of Iris and Violet so lipstick notes are usually a winner for me. I don’t really get lipstick notes in this at all. When it eventually dried down is was more like a cold cream scent, I could pick out the creamy, waxy magnolia here.
