Dans Paris is a complex, herbal vanilla scent that reminds me a bit of Nishane's Ani and Diptyque's Eau Duelle. I think if you like those, you will like this one too. The coriander in this is a green one, like the fresh herb (nothing like coriander seed), and the bergamot lends a quiet but welcome brightness to the opening. The vanilla is warm and gorgeously smooth. I have never smelled laurel blossom before, but I do get a very mild, fresh white floral that isn't indolic at all. There is also a gentle dusting of Celine's powdery DNA, but it is not very prominent. This is addictive - I can't stop sniffing my wrist!
Projection is moderately strong (the strongest of the Celines I've tried so far)for about 4 hours and it lasts on skin over 11 hours.
Such a pretty, warm, but not gourmand vanilla with a green herbal and lightly floral touch. Love this one for any time of year except the very hottest weather. It's sophisticated, cozy, and confident. I'll have to do a side by side comparison with Eau Duelle and Ani sometime soon. 9.5/10 rating for me.
