Very Underwhelming

It's not bad, it's just that I expected so much more. I normally don't expect a lot from celebrity fragrances, they're usually meant to be mass market and appeal to a broad audience. There's nothing bad with appealing to a broad audience, it's what you do when you're selling a big name and want to appeal to the masses.

Here's where my problem comes in, I like the weird stuff, the niche, the witchy, edgy, dark, "out there" stuff; I don't want mass market appeal. Then I stumbled upon this fragrance.

Sure, it's a celebrity fragrance technically, but it's a metal icon, someone who I would expect to go dark and edgy and interesting. On top of that, it was his second collab with Xerjoff and it has a premium price of almost $300, whereas from what I've seen most mass market celeb frags cap at $100 or so.

I finally tried it today and just... wow, what a let down. Like I said above, it's not bad, it smells perfectly nice, but that's just it, /it smells perfectly nice/. It's fruity, it's a little spicy, but it's just kind of basic. It smells like I could pick it up at Walmart at Target for like $40, not the premium high end frag its price tag makes it out to be. In fact, the longer I sit in it the more I just smell apple and cinnamon; honestly it low-key reminds me of a fall apple cinnamon glade air freshener. I don't think that's a compliment for a nearly $300 fragrance lol.

The projection is impressive, it fills a room, I actually went fairly noseblind to it unless I get really close to my wrist but my fiance assures me it's definitely filling the room still. So if you want to pay a bunch of money for a celebrity frag that smells like a slightly fancier glade apple cinnamon air freshener, this fragrance is probably for you, but it's definitely not for me.
