Devotion

Devotion is a gourmand for lemon lovers. It is reminiscent of a buttery lemon pound cake with a dash of rum. It is soft, soothing, cozy, and utterly delicious. It is sweet, yes, but not overly so. The candied lemon peel is realistic, and the panna cotta adds a creamy, lactonic quality. This gives me the same dopamine rush as breathing in the scent of butter, caramelized sugars, and lemon coming from a cake baking in the oven. After about 2-3 hours, the lemon begins to fade to the background, and the warm, milky vanilla comes to the forefront.

Projection is moderately strong for around 3 hours, and the scent sticks on my skin for around 6 hours, but much longer on clothes (it remains the next day).

I really love and enjoy this one. It's a delightful scent for lazing around or in cooler weather, when you want a little lemony brightness, but still want to smell like a toasty, delicious dessert. 9/10 because I adore it. I do wish it lasted just a bit longer on skin, but the scent is worth it!
