It’s just too hot and sticky tonight for a cozy, comfort bedtime vanilla. I need a beautiful, radiant and refreshingly gentle citrus neroli with calming rosemary and woods. Tis a fleeting cologne for sure, but a perfect scent for going to bed on a hot night, as it cools the skin and senses, without over stimulating. If it’s good enough for an empress, its good enough for me. Give me a cold shower, Eau de Cologne Imperiale and ice! Lots of ice!

      It always feels like anyone can own a special bit of perfume history with this bottle. And I love my mega ice cubes.. they take forever to melt and they feel rather suave to swirl around with an amaretto lol.. it’s just a big pint of water tonight though 😰🙈

      It was created by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain as a special order for the Empress Eugénie in 1853. And the bottle, made by glassmaker Pochet du Courval, is adorned in 69 bees, the emblem of the Empire.
