Salt (Give it time to awaken)

I tried a forgotten “travel spray” bottle the other day. Even as a floral lover, the initial blast of ylang-ylang and violet is entirely too crowded and demanding, which is probably why I banished it last year. After learning a bit about how to really evaluate a scent in our community, I gave it a proper go.

The initial impression is the same, a bit… busy? But a couple of hours later, I moved, caught a whiff of something incredible rising from my chest, where it had been developing under my shirt. Wow!

Once those loud top notes finally settle, this fragrance transforms. The tiare flower and magnolia open up and melt right into a gorgeous, skin-hugging base of ambergris, sandalwood, and pure musk.

It creates a deeply comforting, second-skin warmth reminiscent of a classic soft musk, completely steering clear of any heavy, muddy, or earthy undertones.

The salty, sun-baked florals soften into a cozy, lived-in aura that lingers beautifully for hours. The glowing, musky dry-down makes waiting out that busy first hour absolutely worth it!!

Not much projection. The longevity on my wrist seemed to fade before it could develop, but lasted and blossomed under my clothing.
