I’ve seen people rave about this one, and it’s priced so reasonably, I bought a travel size to try. I’m glad I made the slight splurge, because I think I’m going to burn through it. That cypress! Wow! But it’s soft; it almost has a sweetness to it. With Vetiver rounding out the edges. I’ve seen descriptions like “wet wood,” “damp earth.” I’ve also seen “melancholic.” I agree about the damp forest notes, and I also can see how some people get a “cold,” “gothic” interpretation. I’m not feeling any sort of sad isolation, but the other descriptors land. I guess I found a new kink, because I’m into it. I don’t know how it will dry down, but it’s so, so lovely, I can’t imagine it isn’t going to just get better from here.

    This one is such a banger for its price. I, too, get the sweet hint sometimes. When it's combined with the woodiness from vetiver it reminds me of hazelnuts.

      I love how many varied and vastly different interpretations there are of this. I don’t get hazelnuts at all. I also don’t get dill or “industrial grit” or old man or “villain from the Scooby Doo series” 😂 But I also don’t think my nose is very refined yet (not that I’m searching out “baby coffin” 🤣). I’ll keep practicing with this and others. It’s just amazing how perception and body chemistry are giving each of us such totally different experiences.

      Agreed, sometimes weather and skin chemistry do their tricks. But to me, this is a very photorealistic forest scent most of the time, which I really love.
