Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique EDP vs Extrait

Sadly, I'm at the last of my Ex Nihilo decants (for now)! Please share your favorites I haven't reviewed so I can pick some new ones up for next time.

Fleur Narcotique EDP - A delicate, floaty, fruity floral. The base is similar to Lust in Paradise, but with a greater variety of fruits and flowers. I mostly pick out peach and peony - it's very well blended and chock full of musk, so hard to pick out notes. I also get vitamin tablets from this (probably the mixture of fruits and moss, though I have no idea???). Though being light, it's extremely sweet, in an artificial sweetener kind of way that hits me in the back of the throat. So much musk in this one. I believe it has a heavy dose of ambroxan, which makes it very diffuse, giving it great projection and sillage while not being heavy - its unique defining quality. I like this scent on others, but it's not my favorite on me. It's so pretty but even one small spray punches me in the face 😢 Dries down to a musky, slightly floral skin scent. 7.5/10 scent but personally unwearable. I'd choose this one if you enjoy an impressive scent cloud, musky skin scents, and more fruit than flower.

Fleur Narcotique Extrait - This is more bearable on me as it sits closer to the skin and doesn't smack me in the face as much. It still has that artificial sweetener and vitamin tablet notes that aren't doing it for me. I do very much enjoy the added osmanthus, as well as the orange blossom and jasmine. It's easier to pick out notes in this one as it's less of a musk bomb. I much prefer this to the EDP. 8/10 scent and I could probably wear this without feeling sick, but there are better options out there for me! I'd choose this one if you are after richer, expensive smelling florals with a more discreet fruity tone.

It's unfortunate when popular scents don't work with my chemistry/nose, but I guess my wallet is safe this time.
