   Every fragrance I've tried from Amouage has had incredible performance. They're one of the few I don't gripe as much about the price; the bottles & fragrance quality are commensurate with the cost

      Indeed! My only quarrel here is they’re almost always heavy on the rose, which I don’t particularly enjoy. I’d love it if they’d come up with their own spin on something darker & more modern, like Mandorle or Babycat 🥲

      I think the rose is really common across Middle Eastern perfumery tradition. Amouage also developed the Omani Rose oil & the brand focuses on Omani raw materials, so it makes sense it would be in a lot of their scents. I'm not a rose lover either though, so I feel you. I do love incense, and they make some fantastic incense fragrances that aren't too heavy on the rose or are just well balanced where I can appreciate it
