Fig Me Up

I always love Mancera’s because they have so much depth and they develop so beautifully. It’s like unraveling something that keeps revealing a new scent at each layer. Fig me up starts out with a very green fig- bright and like the leaves themselves, not the fruit. As it settles there comes a dark plum, very nice and fruity and some tartness from the rhubarb. Then the drydown gives you this slight violet and tobacco mixed with sandalwood and Tonka. It’s very powdery and slightly masculine. It’s an amazing perfume. I am so delighted every time I wear it!

How does it compare to Fig Extasy? I already have a fragrance that’s similar to Fucking Fabulous. I heard that one was also so I skipped it. Curious how their others figs are though. I love Mancera. Amberful is one in my top 5-10 of all time. I really want to grab Tonka Cola for the fall

  Hi !!👋 I had to take some time and wear both to get a good comparison!! I love both a lot for different reasons. They are both very different. I really can’t say they are strictly “fig” scents so do not buy them if you are looking for a lush gourmand figgy scent, which is what I wanted going into it and of course I blind bought both 🤦‍♀️ but as always Mancera never fails to charm me in other ways. As I said before Mancera’s Fig Me Up is green- leafy and stemmy. Just like the fig tree. It’s lighter, fresher and greener compared to Fig Extasy. I don’t know what TF FF smells like? But Fig Extasy is peppery, it is not sweet and not gourmand, it does resonate some fig, but I get a lot of warm leather and wood notes and something like oregano -even though it’s not listed. Unlike other Mancera’s, this one is what it is, quite linear, doesn’t change much but that’s ok because it holds its own with the notes it has. You don’t need it to change.

  What I love about it is, and I know I did not love it at first because I was expecting something else, that these perfumes take some time to understand and really appreciate. I mean you can smell them and pull back and say oooh not for me!! But then something pulls you back for another sniff and you are just - well, I am just pulled in by the harmonies and blending of notes- it’s so well done. There are like maybe two or three in the entire line that I don’t like/have and those are mostly aquatics or they are just too masculine for me. Anyway, I would keep the Fig Extasy for Fall/Winter and Fig Me Up for anytime!

  Oh yes and Tom’a Cola is incredible! I layer it with Cherry Cherry for a beautiful cherry cola scent! But of course it’s amazing on its own!
