It opens with a fresh, spicy ginger note with a light hint of cinnamon, which transitions quickly and smoothly into a sharp, cold metallic note with a slightly soapy feel, and then dries down into a smoky, earthy, woody note of vetiver and cedar.

Moderate projection, which quickly becomes a skin scent. The whole scent lasts around 6 hours before I smell nothing. (Edited) lasts 1-2 more hours when I spray to work in an air-conditioned office.

Occasions: office, meetings, socializing. When the occasion calls for minimal distractions.

I learned about this scent from "The Iliad and The Odyssey" perfume exhibition, which I believe was a tie-in promotion for "Nolan's The Odyssey," held by a collective group of indie perfume houses in Thailand.

This is my first experience with a scent from this house, too. Not the feel I expected from its name, but from the perfumer's concept, it makes sense. Instead of raging Spartans on the battlefield, it describes the whole sequence of the Trojan War: from the rage of Menelaus to the call to arms, to the ruins of Troy.

Would I get the full bottle? Yes, for the scent. But it could improve on performance and longevity.

A decent first-time experience from a new indie house, from a country where the perfume industry is growing.
