The ultimate flower bomb - my happy escape

One whiff of this evokes immense happiness and transports me to my teens, (I doused myself in this with abandon as only a teenager could). A civet laced, intoxicating ultra feminine floral bomb. Green floral, ALL the flowers, white & yellow, fruits, musks, fresh woods and vetiver.. it’s sweet, bright, clean, honeyed, lightly floral spicy.. a BOLD beast of a floral yet beautifully blended perfectly together to create a floral masterpiece that keeps your nose super busy. I fear she’s too much for today’s modern world to wear in the wild, maybe misunderstood, so Cabotine de Grès is now my gardening perfume, a happy scent bubble in my happy place. It’s also the perfume I also reach for to sniff the top of the bottle when life gets intense and I need a little grounding. Beautiful, sweet floral happiness, I couldn’t be without a bottle.. I only wish I held onto my 90’s bottle with the beautiful cut glass bottle top that’s now been replaced with plastic 😩

      I find it really hard to critique this perfume without biase, the scent memory attachment is so powerful. But I would say it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

      It sounds like something I'd like, I like all of those things usually especially green notes which are so hard to find. I'm only not sure on the civet musk but I am surprised how much I enjoy other musks. Though I find it so hard to tell from notes alone because it really is hard to tell how they all play together and blend to make the scent experience.

      I don’t think the civet is as apparent in the modern version, but it’s not a noticeable animalic note in this.

      Honestly, when I close my eyes and sniff this it actually feels like I’m standing in my childhood bedroom, the selfie way the sun came through the window on a summers afternoon. Scent memories are powerful stuff 🤗
