Gris Charnel Extrait is a warming, energizing perfume that reminds me of an aromatic cup of Chai mixed with the scent of savory iris. This has a similar opening to the EDP - very sharp, spicy cardamom bordering on being too much for me, but after the opening fades, it becomes woodier and much less sweet than the EDP, with a lot more iris that leans a bit salty and carrot-like on my skin. I do still get a bit of the jammy fig and spiced tea notes in the mid, but it is much more iris-heavy throughout, becoming mostly creamy, spiced iris on the drydown.
I think I prefer the OG personally as it is lighter and more tea forward, but both are absolutely lovely. I think this is a perfectly unisex scent and wearable in just about any application during cooler weather (or if you're in the AC). Good projection and excellent longevity.
