I usually wear Cabotine when I’m gardening but it’s such a beautiful morning I went for this instead. It’s another big, bold, bright floral of white and yellow. The aldehydes keep it fresh and lush yet it leans chypre in the dry down. This is a garden you can get happily lost in.

I’m out out later, I’m still deciding what I’ll wear 🫣

      I don’t think it’s a particularly popular one. It’s often described as ‘old fashioned’ or vintage. You definitely need to like bold florals.

      I’ve the usual summer long beddings still blooming (lobelia, begonia, petunia, geranium, impatiens, violas, nemesia). There’s hydrangea, salvia, verbena, aster, fuschia, passiflora. My roses have just finished, so they got deadheaded and fed). Oh my agapanthus are blooming, they are gorgeous and the dahlias are at bud, about to bloom. The flowers in the pic are crocosmia

      That sounds so lovely. Where I live, it's ridiculously hot, and the soil is very alkaline rocky clay, so I can't grow almost any of that 😔

      Yes, it’s good growing weather here. I’m always complaining about how much it rains in Ireland, but I guess if it didn’t, it would’ve be so green and lush when the sun finally does come out.

      Thank you. This plant is called crocosmia. It grows everywhere in Ireland. It’s actually classed as an ‘invasive species’ but I love it.

      Aww that is a shame. Are you not allowed to plant anything on the property? We’ve had a lot more sunshine than we usually get this year, so it’s done really well (and I got lots more strawberries than usual lol)

      I think I could probably get permission but it’s in a shared space with my neighbors and we also have some people a few houses down with dogs they let roam free and I’d be afraid they would just dig it up unfortunately. That sounds amazing! My grandma always had fresh strawberries in hers and I miss them 😭
