My First Love

I discovered Samsara in college and fell instantly in love with the most magical sandalwood to have ever been made in to a perfume. When the first bottle came out, it contained 30% mysore sandalwood (now tightly restricted due to over harvesting) and less mysore up until the late 90s, until they reformulated it to use other SW variants altogether. The early years of Samsara were the best: creamy, sweet, incomparable mysore. The formulas since then have been a paler copy of the original though by today’s standards, this perfume could be viewed as a chemical weapon (it’s so strong!). Regardless, I adore her and have hunted down bottles from each era.
