Ok so SDV is a boozy fragrance. Big time. I think the rum note may be the strongest, followed by the dense amber. For a split second in the opening, I get grand soir vibes.
But then the middle opens up a dry vanilla. Not powdery but not gourmand either. And a touch of florals. Rose slightly. There is definitely an incense note that carries through the entire fragrance. Not overwhelming, you detect it if you search.
Performance was just ok. Nice longevity on skin but kind of soft projection.
If you want a complex frag where Vanilla is a team player, this is your go to. But if you are buying this for the sole purpose of it being a vanilla bomb, you’ll have to go in a different direction.
