Crazy Dreams

Among other extremely vivid dreams last night, I dreamt that I was part of a beautiful chorus singing Down to the River to Pray. Woke up wanting to recall some of that and couldn’t be happier with my choice; not only does this have a hint of that churchy incense quality to it, but it also is as vaulting as a European Gothic cathedral. I feel like Amouage in general do a fantastic job of creating volume and grandiose presence with their perfumes even when I don’t like the scent itself (Royal Tobacco is an excellent example of this). I’ve never worn my sample of this before today and I’m simply blown away!

      I have! I am a singer actually – majored in Music in college and my senior capstone was a solo voice recital, so I am no stranger to singing haha 😊 and I guess my dreaming subconscious already knew how much I love this song.

      Oh fab! Singing is so good for the soul. What classification do you sing? I’ ve also been singing this all day since I read your post, such a good ear worm… I know it from ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou?’ 🙈

      I’m classically trained but I’ve sung some other genres before. For example I was in a gospel choir for quite some time actually. Funnily enough, I’ve never watched the film, but I always say Alison Krauss is the siren queen of my heart 🎵🧡
