Scent Review: Laurel Bath House Hayyy

I bought a sample of this one because it sounded very interesting. I am getting into santal/sandalwood scents even though some sandalwoods are just terrible on me! I see you VS Bare Sueded Vanilla!

Upon initial spray it really gives an almost photorealistic hay scent. As it starts to dry down the papyrus note takes over and is pretty much the dominant note for the rest of the wear. I don't get any of the rose at all. The papyrus does soften a bit but not enough to change the composition.

I then tried Hayyy with BBW Heirloom Rose. I wanted to see how they would blend and if the rose would be noticeable. To my surprise it is! The rose brings a bright and even a fresh greeness to the scent. But the woodiness it definitely still present. Not as much in the forefront as the rose softened it.

If I were to wear this out it would be the layered version. I found Hayyy alone was a bit too masculine for me. Even with the added layer of rose it is still a unisex fragrance. I just appreciated that the rose toned the papyrus down. In my opinion, Hayyy definitely leans more masculine.

Hayyy was a limited edition June release.
