   As much as I may dislike a Parfum version, I really want Guerlain to do one. To bring attention to the new generation of fragrance enthusiasts the absolute colossus this fragrance is. It isn’t just aristocratic JP Guerlain’s final love letter to his family’s brand imo, though he made others before retiring, this was the one creation that really solidified his career in my eyes. Inspired with parts of every Legendaire. Some find it blue blooded and old school, I find it to be timeless elegance that transcends fragrance eras, it is a confident and charming response to the powerhouse era. All these brands doing ultra virile and loud oakmoss and leather bombs, but never touching the finesse and attitude Guerlain went for with this fragrance. It’s romantic, accessible, and understood in a way others of that era simply aren’t imo.
