Pretty Pretty

I’ve had bottle of this one for nearly 25 years, it’s my oldest and most familiar fragrance that I’ve gone through more bottles of than anything else.

I love learning to enjoy challenging notes and expanding my palate, but sometimes I just want the familiar embrace of my dearest olfactory friend. She is so easy to love, so effortlessly beautiful, so devoid of rough edges or sharp corners. It seems unfashionable right now to be so unchallenging yet so sophisticated.

Much has been written about the history and notes by people better suited than myself to speak on these things. I will just add that I have never smelled anything so thoroughly sparkling with pure, sweet joy. It’s like the girl in your high school you wanted to hate because she was too pretty but you ended up being best friends because she was so funny and kind.
