Though, I had smelled I Don’t Know What in-store a few times, I received a travel size of it when I attended the launch party for Rose Pacific. Since then, I’ve worn it some to get a feel for it. It undoubtedly is a DS&Durga fragrance - their DNA is easy to distinguish from others and this is no exception.

I Don’t Know What starts off fairly bold with a slight sharpness of bergamot and ISO E Super, but begins to smooth out 10-15 minutes into the wear, making room for the vetiver and ambrox. It’s fresh and clean, despite the civet note, long into the wear and would probably be a safe office scent.

One aspect of I Don’t Know What that I haven’t explored is using it as a “fragrance enhancer”, layering it with other things. I imagine this would easily work well with other DS&Durga fragrances, but I’m interested in seeing how it performs with others. Until then, I at least know that on its own, I Don’t Know What has a certain… Je ne sais quoi.

    This one broke my heart. I really loved it, then after an hour, the first time I wore it, all my nose could smell is the firsantol. Second try, just pure firsantol from the start.. I hate my synthetic sensitive nose. The thing is, it doesn’t smell bad to me, it’s good, but it becomes so warm and overpowering and eventually because nauseating but only when it on my skin (or at arms length) this is why I find some sandalwoods tricky. On both wears i could still detect I Don’t Know What on my skin days and several showers later 😩
